A highly informed and very friendly engaging session that was also very tailored to my own circumstances. This was followed up with really relevant reading to continue my education and to understand what to expect. I was delighted. Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough of the very lovely Dr Carys Sonnenberg! Having suffered with extreme menopausal symptoms brought on by breast cancer treatment, I really needed someone to handle me with kid gloves and actually listen to me. Dr Sonnenberg did both. She has a very calm, gentle and caring aura and she listened intently to my tale of woe. She made sure I was comfortable and relaxed when she examined me and was determined to find solutions to my problems. By the time I arrived back home, she had already telephoned my GP to discuss a way forward and just days later, I have been given an NHS appointment for further investigations. I travelled from south east London to Guildford for my consultation with Dr Sonnenberg but it was worth every motorway mile! If you are looking for someone who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable about menopausal matters, but who can deliver advice with kindness and understanding, then look no further 😊

I felt very heard and understood in terms of my current needs, medical history and concerns. I was provided with useful information and options tailored to my specific needs. Carys was clear and reassuring and provided a containing approach with the option of follow up which I will take forwards. I wouldn’t have got the time and space or individual approach in the NHS and very much valued it at Rowena Health.

I've had two appointments with Dr Carys so far. The first was quite a lot of information so I decided on a follow up some months later as this is so life altering. I felt very hopeful after our second session that I had a better grip on what was happening to my body and mind and Dr Carys provided me further information on how my ADHD might also be affected, further learning and recommendations I think I badly need to act on regarding nutrition. I am so glad I booked the second appointment as my regular Doctor's surgery didn't appear to know more than prescribing and leaving me to it which had caused horrific results and they seemed rather flippant. I found my follow up with Dr Carys engaging, interesting and informative and importantly hope giving. It has opened up a world of taking my health more seriously. I was hesitant to spend the money but I'm glad I did to be taken seriously by someone who knows her subject matter. Greatly appreciated. The journey continues...

Didn't know where to turn, Drs didn't take on board what I was saying other than I am to young. Dr Carys actually listened to what symptoms I am experiencing, explained why, what would help, gave additional suggestions given my health condition and had plenty of time for me. I was given the choices and recommended what would help me best. Also told I can call, email anytime if I have any issues or worries. Dr Carys wrote the prescription and I had it the next day so I could get the symptoms under control sooner. Dr Carys has also written a comprehensive email with support links and everything we discussed. Dr Carys has sent everything through to my GP with her recommendations for the HRT and additional exploratory tests given my condition and being peri menopausal. I couldn't recommend more highly. Thank you so much for helping me Dr Carys.

It would absolutely recommend using Rowena Health. I felt I already had a good knowledge of peri menopausal symptoms, but it was so nice to discuss my worries with an expert who had time to listen and give me some really helpful advice and guidance. Thank you for all of your help, i won't hesitate to make another appointment in the future.

I had an appt with Dr Carys a week ago to discuss all my symptoms as I didnt get the support I felt I needed at my NHS doctor. The process to book an appt was very easy on the Rowena Health website and the information collected upfront was very thorough and easy to complete. Dr Carys is a lovely, wamr, caring person, clearly very dedicated to helping women address their peri/menopause symptoms. I felt Dr Carys was very thorough in her explanation of all possible symptoms & walking through my personal symptoms. I was able to have all my questions answered without feeling rushed and my HRT meds were ordered the next day and delivered a few days later. Dr Carys provided lost of extra information in my report post the appt that is very useful and went through the hassle of checking that the HRT doesnt contain a product I am allergic. I felt listened to, cared for and looking forward to continuing my private care with Dr Carys into the future.

The big take away from my initial consultation with Dr Carys Sonnenberg is that I felt listened to and heard. Prior to my consult I answered an in depth questionnaire and submitted blood test results ordered by GP some months previously. I initially pushed my gp for tests following a private blood test to support my belief I was experiencing perimenopause symptoms since the age of 38. My gp reluctantly prescribed combined HRT (progesterone tablets and Estradiol gel) following the go ahead from consultant gynaecology. Because I felt unable to have a meaningful consultation with my gp, still had questions and my symptoms were and still are affecting my ability to carry out my job, and live my life. I decided to meet with Dr S. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. I recommend visiting her tiktok channel for advice and information about the journey that is Menopause. This is what led me to booking with her specifically. I am due my second appointment and will be booking this in the coming weeks. This journey is tough and I've not yet come to terms with my predicament, but I feel better supported and educated now.

After seeing Dr Cary’s on one of the social media platforms I decided to make an appointment. I had been feeling pretty despondent with my current HRT regime as it didn’t appear to be working . I’d tried previously to sort things with my own GP but that was becoming a struggle. I had my first appointment with Dr Carys last week and I found her to be so lovely, kind and very easy to talk to. She’s very knowledgable and explained everything so fantastically well. This really helped enormously because as we all know, HRT can feel very confusing, complicated and sometimes a tad overwhelming. All in all my consultation was a very positive experience and I definitely feel more in control of my menopause and my hrt! I would absolutely recommend Dr Carys to anyone and will be mentioning her to my friends. P.s. booking an appointment online is easy peasy which is a bonus 🙂

I can't recommend Carys highly enough. She is passionate about women's health and you really get the sense that she really does care about you. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else now. I have been struggling with Perimenopause symptoms for months and trips to my own GP have never resulted in any solutions. Since working with Carys on my symptoms my health and energy levels are greatly improved and I am absolutely confident that I am in safe hands. Thank you Carys for all you do.

I found Dr Carys Sonnenberg through her social media channels and have had two appointments with her via video consultation. She was professional, thorough and very kind and approachable, and clearly highly informed and knowledgeable in her field and interested in me as her patient. I highly recommend her and Rowena Health - my appointments with her have provided me with far more information and attention than I'd ever have got from my GP and I feel more equipped to make informed decisions about my treatment going forward. Thank you.

I'm delighted to be able to leave a review. My consultation has been very helpful and confidence building. It has provided some answers to a very puzzling situation. And some very practical help to the issues I am dealing with. I also feel I have some of the tools to enhance my health going forward . I am very thankful.

I arranged a video consultation last week with Dr Carys, because I wanted to discuss my perimenopause symptoms with a menopause specialist. Dr Carys is clearly an expert, and explained very clearly why I was experiencing each of my symptoms. She went through all of the options available to help (HRT & alternatives), and used scientific facts from the many studies carried out over the years as she talked through each of them. We also discussed lifestyle & diet, and the impact both can have on the body when going through hormonal changes. I felt quite nervous before the call, but was very quickly put at ease and I can’t describe the relief I felt afterwards to have discussed everything in such detail. After the call, Dr Carys sent a very detailed follow up letter explaining everything we had discussed, with lots of links to learn more. I also received my prescription the same day, and a copy of the letter sent to my GP detailing which treatment she had started me on (she also explained during our call that I could get a prescription via my GP surgery on the NHS if I chose to). It was only a 45 minute video call, but felt like a life changing moment. Thank you Dr Carys.

A personal and bespoke service where I felt supported in my menopause journey. Dr Cary’s is extremely knowledgeable and I am so glad I made the appointment. As a GP specialising in menopause, it is so rare to find someone who is able to look at the whole picture for their patients.

Dr Carys was incredibly helpful and explained everything in great detail which was easy to understand. I felt completely at ease with Dr Carys and I would highly recommend her services. I didn’t see the star rating when I initially posted this review. I just saw the comment box so the star rating I think was automatically on 3 stars. I have since changed this to 5 stars as this is absolutely well deserved. I have received a high level of professional care throughout my medical journey with Dr Carys.

I had my first video consultation on Saturday. I was very nervous about it and also very anxious about going through the perimenopause. Dr Carys made me feel at ease straight away and was so lovely and easy to talk to. After the call ended, I felt so much better about things and found I haven't been worrying about it so much since then. I am looking forward to starting my HRT and all the other things that I have been advised to do. She was so informative. I would recommend anyone with symptoms of perimenopause/menopause to book an appt now. I was the best thing I have done. Finally instead of worrying and not looking forward to the future. I am now feeling positive and happier. Well worth the money and the all experience was amazing. Thank you.

I recently booked a consultation with Dr Cary's to review my symptoms of peri-menopause. I am a sufferer of endometriosis and wanted a specialist women's doctor to take the time exploring my options. I was incredibly impressed with the level of knowledge Dr Cary's had and how passionate she is about ensuring women get the informative and individualised treatment plans that suit them. The Booking process was incredibly easy, I was asked to complete a detailed questionnaire prior to the appointment. In the 45minute session Dr Cary's went through each of my symptoms and then took the time to explain to me the options surrounding HRT and lifestyle changes. She's a big advocate of a holistic approach which really suited me. She works alongside my own GP to ensure I am getting the best treatment. Following the consultation I was armed with a report I could take with my to my next GP appointment. It is also possible to acquire your medication via Dr Cary's. The report also included really useful links to evidence based research and a recap of the topics and options we discussed. If anyone is considering making an appointment, I would not hesitate to highly recommend. It was a breath of fresh air to talk to someone so dedicated to you and ensuring you get the right treatment. Thank you for your help Dr Cary's.
